Miss America 2009 Winners

22 yrs. old Katie Stam of Indiana has been crowned Miss America 2009 in Las Vegas on Saturday night. "That beauty that you feel on the inside, it's that confidence, that radiance inside of you, that's what glamour is," Miss Indiana Stam said. Katie Stam also won Tuesday night’s swimsuit preliminary round.

Katie Stam is a communications major at the University of Indianapolis. An aspiring broadcaster, Stam has interned at two Indianapolis TV stations. The first runner-up was Miss Georgia Chasity Hardman.

Fil-Am actress Vanessa Hudgens has NOT auditioned for New Moon, her rep tells JustJaredr. The 20-year Disney baby was reportedly auditioned for the Twilight sequel for the role of werewolf Leah Clearwater.

“I don’t know anything about the audition,” Vanessa’s rep tells JJJ. “As far as I know, it’s just a rumor.”

American Idol Season 8! - AI8

The 8th season of American Idol will premiere on January 13, 2009. Judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson will return to judge once again, along with Ryan Seacrest as host.Producer-Singer-Songwriter Kara DioGuardi was announced as the 4th and newest permanent judge to the 'Idol' panel.

Fox Entertainment president Kevin Reilly has stated the competition would feature fewer "William Hung-like" contestants & "funny auditions", and will quickly move its focus on the potential singers during the earlier stages of the competition. The upcoming season of the show will also move at a faster pace and will revert back to half hour result shows, which was formerly done prior to Season 5 of American Idol.

Due to the ongoing economic recession in the US, Idol Gives Back will not return this season 8.

The AI semifinals will see the biggest change as the Wild Card round returns. Also, there will be 36 semi finalists picked instead of 24. They will be divided into 3 groups of twelve. The groups of 12 will perform on Tuesday. At the conclusion of each results show on Wednesday, the male & female semifinalists who received the highest number of viewers votes for their previous night's performance will instantly become a Top 12 finalist. In addition, another semifinalist that had received the next-highest number of votes after the performance episode -- regardless of whether he or she is male or female -- will also become a finalist.

In the Wild Card round, the next highest finishers plus other eliminated semi-finalists will return for one more chance to compete. The judges will pick the 3 performers left that they consider the best. No voting by the public will be done at this stage

* Canada: The eighth season of American Idol will broadcast on CTV.
* Philippines: Q11 will air the season eight of American Idol after receiving a high number of audience share from the past season.

Melissa Jo Berry is suing ex boyfriend Mark Dawson in Hillsborough County Circuit Court for damages totaling over $15,000, according to TBO.com. Mark had taken the nu.de pictures on Melissa on his cell phone. It seems Mark Dawson was out at a club and showed the nu.de pictures to some friends who called Melissa. The friends called Melissa and told her and she came and confronted Mark. She got upset and took away is phone. The ever classy Mark Dawson sent Melissa's mom a message threatening to make the pictures public if he didn't get his phone back. Mark didn't get his phone back and he allegedly sent the nu.de pictures to Melissa Berry's Mother and posted them on myspace for the world to see.

Melissa Berry was given birth on July 23, 1984 in Downers Grove, Illinois. Seemingly born as a model, Berry has been modeling from a very early age. She has taken part in Ms.Bikini Universe and Model Universe pageants before. According to 24timepass.com, Melissa Berry stands at 5 feet 7 inches and measures 34-26-32.
