Goodbye Chikatime.com ?!

Remember ChikaTime? Actually they are the first blog who 'exposed' the Gucci Gang Scandal even before Brian Gorell started his own blog. Chikatime is my guilty pleasure, even they started as a Perez Hilton rip-off I'm actually enjoying the humor of it, It's quite entertaining. Chikatime is actually hosted at Blogger.com they just buy a domain name for it, and if you will look at the blog today this is what you will read:

^That's the only thing remaining on the blog, all the other content, pictures & archives has been deleted. I looked if there's a cache copy on Google, there's none - apparently the blog is tagged "no index" & "no follow" I googled why ChikaTime closed & this is what I found out:

Chikatime.com Sudden Closure due to NBI Crackdown
The hottest scandals and rumors about almost everyone all dished-out by Chikatime-dot-com will no longer be read. They were forced to close down after three of their editors/writers were arrested for libel charges. Their databases were confiscated by the police pending investigation. This is a warning to all gossipers and rumor bloggers.

Looks like the Mabuhay Shoppingera, Jenni Eperson win this time, on her blog:

THIS IS NOT the first time they have shut down. The latest (or maybe the only) one I recall was when the Inquirer did a big story on them and maybe because they are not used to fame and infamy, they were overwhelmed...

Well, they will learn like everyone else!
(remember Gorrell did it, too...)

Fortunately or unfortunately, SOME people (like me) are born with heated silver forks in their tongues plus Edward Scissorhands fingers for typing venom.

WHY DID CHIKATIME CLOSE??
As a new kid on the blog, I am getting the feeling that the blogosphere is like an elementary school playground and one must ally oneself either with the biggest bully or the person who has rights over the slides and swings.

I would like to look at myself as the one with the verbal 'snides and swings."

SO WHO IS THE BULLY???
Why don't we pose the rhetoric: He who brags most, bullies most or vice versa or WHAT!???
Who wants to kick-butt with Gladiator heels? Personally, I prefer classic Roger Vivier Belle du Jours.

IS THERE SOMETHING I DON"T KNOW??
The traditional Ateneo answer would be "That depends."

1) Have you been reading other blogs aside from this one, Chikatime and/or Gorrell? If your answer is "Yes" then you are spending too much time online and not enough time at the 70 off sales!!---hahahaha!!!
2) Do you read blogs obssessed with discovering the identity of "ChickenTime?"
3) Have you been reading another blog with the word Mabuhay on it?
(It ain't Philippine Airlines, okay, coz you know technology has not been assigned a seat yet!!)

If you answered "NO" to all of the above then THERE IS SOMETHING YOU DONT KNOW!!

My theory is, that the Mabuhay Shoppingera, who by the way, wants more hits on her blog so I'm practically sending the devoted followers of fashion to HER BLOG by writing this entry...
The Mabuhay Shoppingera who wants more hits has been bullying our friends at ChikaTime by threatening to expose their identities."

I don't know if this is another BoyBastos.com in the making, but I don't REALLY know what's the whole story is. How does the friend of Jenni Eperson named "Ridge" aka "mp3musicmp3" knows the identity of the ChikaTime editors? As I've read in his comments:

1. He send daw a 'tracking software' to all the consoles Chikatime writers is using, That's why he claimed right in that minute the writer is making a blog post. Hhmm....
2. mp3musicmp3 claimed he have ChikaTime's data using Chikatime's Google AdSense account with the exact address and recipient's name he added that Google assured their Legal team they would take down Chikatime's site from their index.
3. Plus he also commented "We also have his details, compliments of DomainsByProxy.com, his website's registrant. Go-Daddy.com, his site's server, also affirmed to us that his site is in gross violation of its terms of use regarding malicious disparagement of other living persons. Malas niya, these two webservers conform to American laws on Defamation."

You know what? I almost forgot this whole Chikatime thingy because I already unsubscribe to the blog in my Google Reader, but when a commenter send me an e-mail that I should start daw a ChikaTime-like blog, He's a 'tipster' daw dati sa ChikaTime blah... blah. Yikes, AYOKO NGA. Takuuut aku.
