"Philippines foreign secretary Alberto Romulo complained to the British Embassy about a "Clive the Geordie" sketch in the 4th episode of the 2nd series, in which the character is urged by his "owner" to mate (unsuccessfully) with a neighbour's Filipina maid. An online petition started by the "Philippine Foundation" condemned the sketch as "completely disgraceful, distasteful and a great example of gutter humour... inciting stereotyped racial discrimination, vulgarity and violation of the maid's human rights".
The Embassy issued a statement stressing the BBC's editorial independence of the British government, while a spokesman for Tiger Aspect stated that: "Harry & Paul is a post-watershed comedy sketch series and as such tackles many situations in a comedic way. Set in this context, the sketch is so far beyond the realms of reality as to be absurd - and in no way is intended to demean or upset any viewer."
OMG! Filipinos are so over-acting, we always laugh at comedy shows like Bubble Gang who features Blacks, Arabs, Indians & Bisaya as laughing stocks so this one is not different. Be calm, Harry & Paul is a comedy show! Even their Queen is always 'featured' on the show.

I think my point yung author, super OA ang pinoy pero kung pagtawanan natin ang mga bumbay, negro at mga bisaya OK lng. Eh kung sila ang manghingi ng apology sa atin?

pero kapag meron tayong nalaman na may lahing pinoy, eh over naman tayo sa pag-angkin like nicole sherzinger ng pussycat dolls o si vanessa hudgens ng pussycat dolls. considering half lang sila, pero feel na feel natin ang pagbanggit na pinoy sila. grabe ha. lalo na sa TV patrol oa sa promote na pinoy si ganito pinoy si ganyan. eh hindi rin naman kakalat ang lahing pinoy kung hindi dahil sa mga pinoy maid na napangasawa ng amo nila hakhak! aminin nio natatawa kayo kapag nakakakita kayo ng mga negro! dun palang kitang kita na racist ang pinoy. eh kung mag-issue sila ng apology, tataas ba ang tingin sa atin ng mundo?? ang aarte niyo ha.ni wala nga tayo ni isang gold sa olympics eh, tapos corrupt pa ang gobyerno. uunahin pa ba 'to?

Damn I am a filipino and dissapointed how our fellow kababayans reacted, and also filipino shows are already worldwide becuase of filipino channels and youtube. Even on wowoweee a foreign visitor is being made to a joke man that's more crazy than a comedy show. Besides we always complain about freedom of expression what the BBC channels shows is not discriminating if they used an arab, a mexican, chinese in that show will that be ok to us? we make jokes about foreigners, especiall on indians and asians who can't speak english they and we spread it to blogs, texts and yes our gag shows and we didnt hear a complain. So i guess if they really want something like this to stop they we might also consider not to make jokes on foreigners especially on live television even if it is only on local shows... And man I call this a fare country
I need a philippino maid too. Then she can clean too !
