A Nightmare on Elm Street is an upcoming 2010 horror film written by Eric Heisserer & Wesley Strick, directed by Samuel Bayer, & produced by Michael Bay.
A Nightmare on Elm Street remake of the 1984 slasher film of the same name, which was written & directed by
Wes Craven. This new
Freddy Krueger remake will see its theatrical release on April 16, 2010.The movie stars
Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, a role made previously by
Robert Englund, while Rooney Mara takes over the role of Nancy Thompson, originally portrayed by Heather Langenkamp.
