14-year-old (now on her 8th Grade) Filipino-American Thia Megia is now one of the fan favorite of the hit reality TV show “America’s Got Talent” 2009 (Season 4 ).
During the show’s Chicago audition, Thia Megia got 3 “yes” from judges David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osborne & Piers Morgan with her rendition of the song “I Am Changing” originally sung by Jennifer Holliday.
Thia Megia is also a finalist in the 2008 Miss Teen Filipina. Will she follow Charice's footstep?

These were the words of a mother with a seven-year-old son who spoke to 15-year-old Filipina singer Charice Pempengco during an episode of Oprah. Charice, who has been the toast of music lovers all over the world, has probably heard similar praise before.
The difference is, the mother speaking via video conference from Washington, D.C. happens to be Celine Dion.

But that's not all. Dion goes on with her message to Charice with even more good news for the young Filipina:
"You can sing. You can speak and sing with your heart. You can play the guitar... And you can have dreams because your life story is quite a painful one. Thank God your strength comes from your mother and your heart will go on and I'm pretty sure of that.
"And if I may I would love to propose something. I would love to do something very special with you. Next week, I'm gonna be singing at Madison Square Garden and I would love to ask you to come and sing a duet with me. And we can sing together. Maybe we can sing "Because You Loved Me", and maybe we can dedicate this song to your mother. So I hope you can travel and come in New York to meet with me," Dion told Charice.
16 years old pinay, Charice Pempengco performs at "David Foster & Friends”, a tribute concert for David Foster at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. The pinay Youtube sensation, Charice performs along with Josh Groban, Brian McKnight, Peter Cetera, Michael Buble, Katharine McPhee, Alicia Keys, Kenny G, and Andrea Bocelli in front of almost 10,000 people and after her performance the singer received a standing ovation twice. David Foster said" Oh! My G0d, a star is born tonight!"
This is the most awaited performance of Charice Pempengco on Oprah. Charice performed "I Have Nothing" in the episode entitled "World's Smartest Kids" Oprah Winfrey says it sounds like Charice is pulling her voice from somewhere deep in her body. "What a blow-away moment" she added.
