Ellen Degeneres on American Idol, Replacing Paula Abdul

Yup! The 4th seat on American Idol has been filled.

After a month, Paula Abdul tendered her much talked about Twitter resignation as a judge on "American Idol," Fox announced last Wednesday that she was being replaced by one of the show's biggest fans, comedian & talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Fox's 5-year deal with Ellen DeGeneres puts to rest a major challenge facing Fox as the aging singing competition enters its 9th season in January 2010, filling the shoes of the judge considered by many to be the heart of the show: Paula Abdul.

"I don't know how it happened myself, but I have not missed one episode of that show," Ellen said in the episode of the talk show that airs today. "I love everything about it and I love music, as you know. Hopefully I'm the people's point of view because I'm just like you. I sit at home and I watch it and I don't have that technical . . . I'm not looking at it in a critical way from the producer's mind. I'm looking at it as a person who is going to buy the music and is going to relate to that person."

Kara DioGuardi, Will Be Back on American Idol

Guessing which of the four AI judges will be back on American Idol next season has become a popular game. However, we can tell ya that Kara DioGuardi will be back for season 9 of the hit reality show.

"Her deal is done. There are no ifs, ands or buts," a source said. "Done. She will be back." According to reports on E!

Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone Music Video

American Idol, Kelly Clarkson is now controversial because people are claiming that her latest single called "Already Gone" is a rip-off of Beyonce Knowles' song called "Halo".

But we must not blame Kelly Clarkson, because apparently Ryan Tedder of One Republic (the composer of the song) gave the same beat to Beyonce's song.

Kelly Clarkson explains: “Ryan and I met each other at the record label, before he was working with anyone else… We wrote about six songs together, four or five of them made the album,” “It was all fine and dandy. I’d never heard of a song called “Halo” … Beyonce’s album came out when my album was already being printed.

“No one’s gonna be sitting at home, thinking, ‘Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyonce and Kelly the same track to write to.’ No, they’re just gonna be saying I ripped someone off. I called Ryan and said ‘I don’t understand. Why would you do that?’” “in the end, they’re releasing it without my consent. It sucks, but it’s one of those things I have no control over.”

Kelly Clarkson's third single, Already Gone , which had already charted on Billboard's Hot 100 at #70 early in 2009, was officially announced in July 2009 along with its music video & North American tour dates for the album. The single drop date for North America was announced for August 11 2009, and for the UK on September 7, 2009.

Kara DioGuardi Is Married

Idol judge Kara DioGuardi wed teacher/general contractor Mike McCuddy on July 5 at exactly 12:30 in the afternoon in Prospect Harbor, Maine. Kara DioGuardi wore a Vera Wang gown for the small ceremony.

The couple, who met when Mike McCuddy, 34, built the house next to Kara's in Maine, got engaged in December. They exchanged vows at the United Methodist Church. "I feel great. What was most unbelievable about the experience was when I looked out at the church and saw all these people that were so important to me and Mike, who were there for us. It was pretty powerful. I was very emotional and I'm not somebody who breaks down and cries," said Kara.
