Monsters vs. Aliens

Monsters vs. Aliens is an upcoming computer-animated 3-D feature film from DreamWorks Animation. This will be the first computer animated movie which will be produced in real 3-D instead of converting the film into 3-D after it is finished. The film is scheduled for a March 27, 2009 release.

Monsters vs. Aliens is starring the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Hugh Laurie, Seth Rogen, Will Arnett, Rainn Wilson with Stephen Colbert and Kiefer Sutherland.

PLOT:
When California resident Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon) mysteriously grows to 49 ft 11 in, she is labelled a monster and taken in by the military to a institution housing other monsters, such as Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D., an insect-headed mad scientist (Hugh Laurie), the Missing Link, a thousands-of-years-old fish-man (Will Arnett), B.O.B., an indestructible gelatinous mass (Seth Rogen) and Insectosaurus, a fuzzy 350-foot bug that makes even Susan look tiny by comparison. When a UFO lands and aliens demand that Earth be given to them, General W.R. Monger (Kiefer Sutherland) suggests to the President (Stephen Colbert) that the monsters can provide the firepower to defeat the aliens.

After 4 installments of the old TV series of Vic's Okay Ka Fairy Ko, magpapahinga na muna si Enteng Kabisote to give way to the Escalera and the Ungasis based on the sitcom that launched Tito, Vic &, Joey in 1977, ang Iskul Bukol. Tito, Vic, and Joey will reprise their original roles Tito Escalera, Vic Ungasis, and Joey Escalera, respectively.

Desperadas 2
It is a sequel of Desperadas which was starred by Ruffa Gutierrez, Rufa Mae Quinto, Iza Calzado, and Marian Rivera. Now, it is starred by the four actresses with Ogie Alcasid.

This is the story of two best friends, one of whom is stricken with cancer. It is based loosely on the friendship of Jinggoy Estrada and Rudy Fernandez, who died of periampullary cancer earlier this year. This movie produced by Maverick Films also stars Maricel Laxa and Dawn Zulueta as the wives of the two best friends.

Dayo: Sa Mundo ng Elementalia
directed by Robert Quilao, is the Philippines’ first all-digital full-length animated feature film, advertised as "tradigital", a mix of traditional animation with 3D animation. It is due for release in December 25, 2008.The story revolves around Bubuy who has to save his grandparents who were abducted and brought to the strange land called Elementalia, which is home to a host of strange creatures from Philippine mythology.

This was featured on The Buzz last Sunday, and they were talking about Dr. Hayden Kho (Dra. Vicky Belo's ex-boyfriend) and Katrina Halili, a young actress having a $ex video. The said video was the alleged reason of the Hayden-Vicki Break-up.

I searched for that Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili scandal video but I got no legit results. I guess the video was not uploaded on the web, maybe Vicky Belo just saw it on a cellphone or on a personal camcoder. Just stay tuned and I will update this post once I gathered more info about the Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho scandal video.

Astro Boy (Movie)

Astro Boy is a movie adaptation of the popular Japanese anime in the 80’s featuring the voices of Nicolas Cage Donald Sutherland, Nathan Lane, Bill Nighy and Freddie Highmore.

Synopsis: Set in Metro City, a grieving scientist constructs a young robot with incredible powers in the image of the son he has lost. Unable to fulfill the grieving scientist’s expectations, “Astro Boy” leaves, embarking on a journey of acceptance and betrayal that eventually leads him back to to the home he left in order to save Metro City and the father who had rejected him.

Million Dollar Password Season 2 Premiere

Million Dollar Password is an updated version of the game show Password hosted by Regis Philbin. Million Dollar Password's second season will begin Thursday, December 18, 2008 with guests William Shatner and Aisha Tyler. Starting December 21, the show will move to its regular Sunday time slot.

The Million Dollar Password round has a 6 step prize ladder with a top prize of $1,000,000. The contestant's partner in this round is the celebrity with whom they earned more points in the elimination game; if they earned the same number with both celebrities, their partner is the last celebrity they played with. The contestant may choose to give or receive the clues for the entire round. For each step of the ladder, the clue giver must get their partner to say five given passwords within ninety seconds. For each word, the clue giver may give a maximum of three clues (similar to Cashword from Super Password); they may pass, but can not return to a word, like the original "Lightning Round" of the classic Password of the 60s.



Successful contestants may take their winnings and leave, or may attempt the next prize level. At each subsequent level the game play remains the same, but the number of available passwords is reduced by one. Failure to complete a level ends the game. A contestant who fails on the first two levels leaves with nothing, while completing the second level guarantees contestants $25,000, even if they fail at a subsequent stage. Contestants who complete the $100,000 level are shown the first five of the six passwords for the $250,000 level before being asked for a decision.

Press releases state that starting with season 2, $250,000 will also become a safe haven, encouraging contestants a free shot at the $1,000,000 prize. Also for that season, should a contestant miss on the $10,000 or $25,000 level, they can replay the level once.

Throughout the game, the giver must wait for a guess before giving a new clue, and only one guess may be given per clue. Breaking either rule forfeits the word. In this Password revival, antonyms are acceptable clues, but hyphenated words are not.

Each hour-long episode contains two full games (each with an elimination round and a million-dollar round).

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an upcoming superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Wolverine, due for release on May 1, 2009. Naruto goes on to insist that he take on Kakuzu alone. Meanwhile, Shikamaru uses an explosive tag to fill in the hole containing Hidan's broken body and still screaming head. He is joined by Sakura and Sai, and they head back to the others. Naruto again readies a Spiraling Shuriken, this time sending a shadow clone carrying it as a decoy. Kakuzu takes the bait, and Naruto lands a direct hit with a second Spiraling Shuriken, obliterating both of Kakuzu's replacement hearts and tearing his body apart.

Dragonball is an upcoming 2009 live-action flick adaptation of the Dragon Ball media franchise. The story centers around the adventures of the lead character, Goku, from his childhood into adulthood. It is scheduled for release on April 8, 2009. Actor Justin Chatwin was cast as Goku, and James Marsters will be portraying Lord Piccolo, the antagonist of the film. An international trailer released December 10, 2008 uses the name Dragonball Evolution, but it is not yet know if this will be its official original release name.

Synopsis:
Goku (Justin Chatwin) goes on a journey to find Master Roshi (Chow Yun-Fat) and gather the seven mystical Dragon Balls before the evil Lord Piccolo (James Marsters) can. Along his way, he meets Bulma (Emmy Rossum) who then joins him to help him in his mission. When arriving at Roshi's place, he is not welcomed with an embrace but has to fight Roshi. Roshi soon learns that Goku is the grandson of Gohan (Randall Duk Kim) and thus trains him to prepare him for the ultimate battle with Lord Piccolo to prevent him from collecting the powerful Dragon Balls. Visanthe Shiancoe Is Nu*de & Na*ked On The Locker Room! (Pic and Video)

Everybody is looking for that nu*de & na*ked pictures of Visanthe Shiancoe. But who is Visanthe Shiancoe first? Actually he is a Vikings football player and this incident happened when a camera crew went to the Viking's Locker Room to show owner Zygi Wilf presenting the ball to coach Brad Childress. Visanthe Shiancoe was there when it happened. Although he was wearing a towel, it slipped accidentally such that his 'grandfather' was exposed.

Marky Cielo Dead at 20

Marky Cielo, a product of GMA-7's talent search Starstruck is dead. He is 20.

According to PEP: we received a confirmed report earlier this afternoon, December 7, that young actor Marky Cielo died at dawn today. He was 20 years old.

However, the cause of death is not yet clear. An initial report says that Marky died in his sleep. His mother went up to his room in their house in Antipolo City around 6 a.m. to wake him up for a charity event. But he never woke up.

GMA-7 is expected to make an official statement any time soon.

Manny Pacquiao Won Over Oscar Dela Hoya

Oscar "Golden Boy" Dela Hoya stopped his "Dream Match" with Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao at the end of the 8th round of their scheduled 12-round fight.

Manny Pacquiao scored a 1-sided TKO over Oscar De La Hoya.

A crowd, estimated at 16,000 or less, filled the venue at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Manny Pacquiao won his last 8 fights, including 2 knockout victories over Erik Morales, and one each against fierce rivals Marco Antonio Barrera and Juan Manuel Marquez. De la Hoya has only fought 4 times over the last four years, losing twice.

During the weigh-in (Manny Pacquiao at an unbelievable 142 pounds since Freddie Roach had wanted him to weigh in at 145, and De la Hoya at 145 pounds), they faced each other after tipping the scales, but no pushing & shoving.

The odds to this fight had gone up and down over the last 5 days in Vegas. For Manny Pacquiao they’d gone from plus 155 to plus 140, then plus 135 to plus 125, and plus 165 Friday morning to plus 160 the evening before the fight.

It meant that a $100 bet on Pacquiao (47-3-2 with 35 KOs) won $160. The latest odds on De la Hoya (39-5-0 with 30 KOs) showed that a bet of $190 only won $100.

Both fighters went for the knockout.

Manny Pacquiao's coach Freddie Roach had predicted a 9th round stoppage by Manny Pacquiao, and Oscar De la Hoya countered by saying he’d knock Manny Pacquiao out inside five rounds.

Manny Pacquiao displayed blinding speed against Oscar de la Hoya during the first five rounds of their Dream Match at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada Saturday. Pacquiao boxed the 10-time world champion as he made full use of the ring to lead the match on scores.

The Filipino tagged de la Hoya with a good left straight to the face of de la Hoya in the first round. The Mexican American already suffered a small cut to the nose bridge by the second round. In the third round, Pacquiao started attacking the de la Hoya with body shots as the Golden Boy struggled to find his timing.

In the fourth, the Filipino continued to outfox the former Olympian. In the fifth round, the two exchanged a barrage of body punches.

Pacquiao is scheduled to face Oscar De La Hoya on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank, Inc., the bout will be a 12-round, non-title fight contested at the 147-pound welterweight limit. Although Pacquiao goes into the fight widely recognized as the leading pound-for-pound boxer in the world, some boxing pundits have speculated that 147 pounds could be too far above his natural weight against the larger De La Hoya.

Many boxing analysts believe the fight will favor De La Hoya, and consider the fight a mismatch due to De La Hoya's size advantage. Bets have already been taken with De La Hoya as the heavy favourite. Training for the mega fight Oscar hired legendary trainers Angelo Dundee, Nacho Beristain, and young boxing talent Edwin Valero. Oscar told the news that his team is unbeatable, while Freddie Roach said, "No one is going to be able to help Oscar pull the trigger when he faces Manny Pacquiao on Dec. 6". While the odds are still with Oscar the mega fight will be still fight of the year and possibly break pay per view records in boxing history.

Pacquiao will receive $15 to 30 million (share of the pay-per-view), plus a guaranteed amount. Tickets reportedly sold out just hours after they went on sale. The total gate revenues were said to be nearly $17 million dollars. That amount would give the bout has the second largest gate revenue in boxing history (after the De La Hoya-Mayweather Jr. fight in May 5, 2007 which generated $18.4 million in gate revenue).
