Mayen Austria Versus Kris Aquino

ABS-CBN talent, Kris Aquino confronts Mayen Austria, the rumored girlfriend of her husband, James Yap.

Mayen Austria, 35 years old, who resides in Valle Verde 2 is said to be the cause of the almost split up of the marriage of Kris Aquino and James Yap in December 2009. What really happened was Kris Aquino was bothered when she heard James Yap talking on the phone with a girl who was crying. Kris learned from James that the girl was heartbroken and was confiding in him. Mayen got closed to James Yap because she is a fan of Purefoods, Yap's basketball team at PBA.

"To everyone. Kris Aquino passed by house to make me sugod. She spoke to my mom. Very mad, berating us saying i always text and call james. That my mom didn't bring me up right. ABS-CBN & GMA-7 TV Ratings: ‘Only You’ is #1; ‘Survivor Philippines Season 2: Palau′ Lost in the Game

On its final week, Only You of ABS-CBN 2 led the chase as the most watched primetime show natiowide, beating strong contenders both from network. Grabbing 35.6%, the Koreanovela remake placed itself on the no. 1 spot.

Tayong Dalawa was the silver medalist 34.9%, a 0.1% lead over Darna which was able to nab a 34.8% rating. the Pinay superheroine inched out May Bukas Pa which slipped to the no. 4 position with 34.4%.

Survivor Philippines Season 2: Palau was nowhere to be found in the primetime show rankings, because I think it's because people are disappointed in the mushy pilot episode of Survivor Philippines.

Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza - Maxim Magazine September 2008

At the age of 23, Dayana Mendoza has reigned as Miss Venezuela & Miss Universe and traveled the world while fulfilling her duties as the official hottest woman in all of existence. Now the sultry South American’s reign is coming to an end, and she’s ready to do something her hectic schedule hasn’t allowed her to do in a year. Here are some of the excerpt of her interview in Maxim Magazine:

What was the reaction like in Venezuela when you won?
Venezuela went 12 years not having a Miss Universe. They did, like, parades. In South America we’re big fanatics of pageants. My parents told me that when I won, cars were going through the streets honking like after a soccer match.

And when you got home, were people still going crazy?
I saw all these Venezuelans with the little flags, and they were crying, and I was kind of crying as well. I really enjoyed how much happiness I could bring to so many people by winning. And I think we needed it in my country.

Midnight Phantom (Precious Heart Romances) On ABS-CBN

ABS-CBN launches another Precious Hearts Romances series entitled Midnight Phantom.

It stars Denise Laurel and hunk actor Rafael Rosell. It is a screen adaptation of the highly popular local romance novel authored by Martha Cecilia.

Denise Laurel will be playing the role of Nadia, a recent college graduate who will later on fall in love with a mysterious DJ known as Midnight Phantom (played by Rafael Rosell). Comebacking sexy actress Ina Raymundo will be playing Denise Laurel’s step-mom in the Midnight Phantom.

Willie Revillame Dead

Host of the Philippines' #1 noontime show, Willie Revillame denied the rumor that he is dead.

“Kamusta kayo lahat? Naniniwala ba kayo sa multo? Pag-gising ko napakadami pong text messages sa akin, ang daming tawag sa Amerika sa lahat dahil napabalitang ako ay patay na,” Willie Revillame said on ABS-CBN’s Wowowee.

Gail Nicolas is Eliminated from Pinoy Fear Factor

After only a few days of staying at Campo Miedo, Gail Nicolas became the first eliminado of Pinoy Fear Factor: Argentina, South America. The 25-year-old Bikini Summit winner failed to finish the final & deciding stunt called Escape De Auto Sub Aquatico. Gail struggled to get baby doll Mariana from the back seat of a car submerged in a pool. The baby doll got entangled with the seat belt, and when Gail could no longer hold her breath, she had no choice but to swim up to the surface.

When Elmer and Marion saw Gail without the baby doll, they already knew the sad fate of the lady Participante. Elmer finished the stunt in 25 seconds, while Marion did it in 30 seconds. As much as they would want to celebrate being safe from elimination, the 2 boys sympathized with Gail, who was ordered to pack her things from Camp Miedo as she will flying back home to the Philippines. “Malungkot ako. Pero sa experience kong ito, masasabi kong masaya na ako na hindi ko ine-expect na kaya ko pa lang gawin ‘to. Sinubukan ko naman, pero siguro it’s not my luck,” Gail said while looking back on her PFF experience.

Later that evening, Elmer and Marion returned to Camp Miedo with the bad news. They narrated what happened in the final stunt, and after a few minutes, Gail arrived to personally say farewell to all her peers. Everyone, most especially the girls, were sad to see their good friend leave. Gail encouraged the other Participantes to go on with the fight to prove that the Filipinos are la raza valiente (a brave race).
