Angel Locsin is the Covergirl for Cosmopolitan Magazine this March 2008
Angel Locsin (born Angelica Locsin Colmenares on April 23, 1985), is a Filipina television and film actress, commercial model, film producer, fashion designer, and product endorser who was introduced in GMA Network's youth-oriented program, Click.
Locsin rose to prominence after being cast as one of the lead stars in the fantasy-themed television series Mulawin in 2004. Soon after, she starred as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the popular Mars Ravelo comics hit.
Locsin top-billed in several films and is known as the screen love interest of Richard Gutierrez and Dennis Trillo. When her contract expired last March 2007, Angel did not renew her contract to her mother studio, GMA Network and signed an exclusive contract in ABS-CBN despite her booming career in GMA.
GMA was saddened by her decision but her manager Becky Aguila claimed in her interviews done by ABS, that it's just a career move.
The result on the overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines from February 19 to 21 among Mega Manila households is basically the same as in the previous weekdays.
While Marimar is strongly holding on to
its No. 1 position in the primetime race, Eat Bulaga! is still in command in the daytime race.
Having said that, it is interesting to note that consistent second-placer Joaquin Bordado reached the 40-plus mark for the first time last Tuesday, Feb. 19. The Robin Padilla-starrer accumulated 41.1 percent behind Marimar's 46 percent.
Kamandag, Coffee Prince, and 24 Oras held the third to fifth positions, respectively. The rest of the Top 10 were occupied by TV Patrol World, Kung Fu Kids, Lobo, Palos, Kung Ako Ikaw, and E.S.P., in no particular order.
In the daytime race, the inclusion of Prinsesa ng Banyera on two successive days (Tuesday and Wednesday) is quite amazing. The Kristine Hermosa afternoon soap managed to grab the last spot in the Top 10 in those mentioned days before bowing out again yesterday, Feb. 21.

“It's a new Shaina. The management wanted to see a new Shaina in 2008. I'm 18 years old na pero role ko 23-years-old so iba talaga,” sabi ng aktres.
Sa kabila ng pagpayag ni Magdayao sa kanyang pictorial, nanindigan pa rin siyang hindi maghuhubad sa men's magazine.
“Hindi ko pa talaga kayang mag-bare ng katawan. I said for a fashion shoot, its okey,” sabi pa ni Magdayao.
Hindi pa alam ni Magdayao kung kailan ilalabas sa merkado ang kanyang pictorial pero sigurado siyang maganda ang kalalabasan ng magazine at magugustuhan din ng kanyang mga fans.
“For sure aalagaan naman ako ng Manual and the people behind it. It's not naman sexy, daring! Sana bumili na lang po kayo ng kopya,” sabi niya.

There were no changes in the ranking of the Top 5 primetime shows from February 4 to 5. All five shows came from the very strong lineup of GMA-7's Telebabad block: Marimar, Kamandag, Coffee Prince, Zaido, and 24 Oras.
Aside from being the overall No. 1 show, Marimar continues to pull away from the competition, especially now that it has regained its 40-plus ratings.
Marimar posted its highest rating this week last Wednesday with 46 percent. Its rating for the rest of the week are as follows: 40.8 percent (Monday), 45.2 percent (Tuesday), and 45.4 percent (Thursday).
But to date, the soap opera of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes has yet to reach the 50 percent mark, which the Kapuso Network and the fans hope to reach before the drama series ends
in March.
Also consistent in their positions as the second and third most-watched primetime shows are Richard Gutierrez's Kamandag and the Koreanovela Coffee Prince, respectively.
Except for Tuesday, Zaido's hold on the fourth position is also very firm, while the primetime newscast 24 Oras is untouchable at No. 5. Zaido will end its run tonight, February 8.
Meanwhile, four shows from ABS-CBN and one from GMA-7 are occupying the sixth to tenth slots.
Although Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin's Lobo took the sixth slot last Monday, Kung Fu Kids managed to overtake from Tuesday to Thursday. TV Patrol World grabbed the No. 8 position in all nights, except last Tuesday when it dropped to No. 10.
Jake Cuenca and Cesar Montano's Palos, in the meantime, was also firm at No. 9 but it was able to climb to No. 8 Wednesday.
The reality show Kung Ako Ikaw took the last spot on Monday and Tuesday, although it moved to No. 9 on Wednesday.
GMA-7's new horror-drama anthology, E.S.P. starring Iza Calzado, debuted at No. 10 last night, February 7, with 18.6 percent.
In the daytime race, Eat Bulaga! only relinquished its crown once when Daisy Siete managed to pull ahead last Tuesday.
PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) also received AGB Nielsen's ratings in NUTAM (Nationwide Urban TV Audience Measurement), Mega Manila, Metro Manila, and Suburbs from January 27 to February 2, 2008.
ABS-CBN's Kung Fu Kids ruled the NUTAM, which is based on sample homes all over the country, with 37.1 percent. Lobo came in second with 36.3 percent. Third place went to Marimar with 32.7 percent, followed by TV Patrol World with 31.6 percent and Palos with 29.3 percent.
Marimar, on the other hand, leads in Mega, Metro, and Suburbs. The GMA-7 drama series averaged 39.9 percent in Mega Manila, 37.3 percent in Metro, and a very high 44.8 percent in Suburbs.
